Valerie & Jerry are married! The couple celebrated their wedding with some close family and friends at Lawton Park- a peaceful, quaint venue located in Hartsville, SC. As I made my way from Florence to Hartsville, it rained the WHOLE way. The rain had stopped just moments before I pulled up and it held out until the end of their ceremony! We can safely say they got their well deserved good luck of "rain on their wedding day"! ;)
Their wedding was inspired by Valerie's love for fall. She made sure to incorporate all the autumn colors, romantic lighting & pumpkins her wedding could hold! For dinner, they enjoyed local barbecue. My personal favorite touch was her choice of a red velvet wedding cake, made to resemble a birch tree- complete with their initials "carved" into the side!
Jerry & Valerie have known each other since high school, started dating in 2018 and have been building memories together ever since! One of Valerie's fondest memories includes a work trip to the beach where Jerry got to accompany her. It was cold out at the time, but Valerie had the love of her life to keep her warm! ;) Work is always better when you can bring your favorite person along!
Jerry proposed to Valerie under the twinkle lights at Night of a Thousand Candles at Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet. So, to remind them of that special night, Jerry made sure to hang bistro lights at their wedding to recreate the romantic setting! I think he gets some bonus points for it! ;)
The brand new Mr. & Mrs. Tanner spent their first week as husband and wife under the Northern Lights in Fairbanks, Alaska!
Valerie & Jerry, I'm so excited to watch your adventures continue in this new chapter of life! Congratulations to you both & thank you for including me in one of the most special days of your lives!
