Fort Fisher, NC
We've been friends since high school and our friendship is probably about 80% based off our love for beaches, sunsets, narwhals, dogs, all things tropical and pineapple and/or coconut flavored/scented everything! :) I'm only half kidding on the percentage thing. ;) Maegan is an amazing friend with a huge heart and I love her for more reasons that I can list. No doubts we share those common interests, but it was no surprise when she told me that she wanted to head to the coast of North Carolina for her engagement pictures! A bride gets what a bride wants and as I've mentioned before- if the day involves photography and a beach- I'm down. No questions asked! It's even better when I get to spend the weekend with my bestie!
Maegan and Tim met around 3 years ago. Tim has done nothing but score brownie points ever since! ;) From knitting her a chunky throw blanket for Christmas this past year to surprising her with a marriage proposal while watching the sunrise on the beach, it's evident that he speaks Maegan's love language loud and clear!
Tim, keep making my best friend happy! I will never grow tired of her excited texts telling me about the latest sweet thing you've done for her!
To be completely honest, I'm not the type of person to believe in couple's being each other's "other half". I think you are a whole person and your future spouse is a whole person and together you are a whole couple. But when I see Maegan and Tim together, there's no questioning that they are each other's "missing puzzle piece". They hold a sense of peace and friendship between them that I haven't seen in Maegan the whole 12 years I've known her and I couldn't be happier to see Tim bring out that side of her!
Just a little over a year ago, Maegan and Tim helped Ben and I celebrate our wedding and now I'm so excited to be able to return the favor! It means so much to me that I get to not only be there the day when these two become one, but I get to CAPTURE it, along with sweet moments like these leading up to the wedding!
This year is already moving at record speed, so in no way and I wishing it away, but I'd be lying if I said I CANNOT WAIT for March to get here! :) I'm so excited for the future Mr. & Mrs. Murphy!!
Until then, click here to see more photos from their engagement session!
