Introducing the BRAND new, Mr. & Mrs. Powell!
You might remember their engagement from last April, when Alec surprised Rebecca on her birthday with a tented picnic and a special proposal! They were set back on Alec's family property, with only the two of them around- or so she thought! ;) As I hid behind a tree, trying not to move a muscle, Alec dropped down on one knee and ask Rebecca to be his forever!
It's not uncommon for me to tear up a time or two at a wedding, but I feel like Rebecca and Alec's wedding had me holding back tears more often than not! I've known Rebecca for almost 4 years now. I've watched her grow her business, move out into a home of her own and grow as an individual, and now I can say I've had the pleasure of watching her fall in love with the man that God made just for her and be loved every bit as much in return!
Since they've met, they've never stopped pursuing each other and making plans for their future together. Their wedding was SO pretty, with every detail being perfectly planned by Rebecca! They chose to do a first touch complete with a sweet prayer to bless their marriage and the unforgettable moments ahead. Their intimate church ceremony served as the perfect affirmation that these two had truly found their soulmate!
I think it's so fun that Rebecca & Alec decided to break the tradition of a typical wedding cake, and opted to incorporate cheesecake from one of their favorite restaurants instead! All the guests enjoyed the yummy varieties they had!
Alec and Rebecca celebrated their marriage at Foxbrier with family and friends, good food, fun games and lots of memorable moments, including the perfect first dance that showed off Rebecca's beautiful dress and a father/daughter dance that had everybody ready to get on the dance floor themselves! Alec's father also gave a speech thanking Mr. & Mrs. Giese for raising the woman they now call their daughter-in-law and welcomed them into the family!
Alec & Rebecca, thank you guys SO much for letting me capture your day! We're truly SO happy for you both and can't wait to see what God has in store for your future! One thing is for sure, you will have a strong support system behind you no matter what! We hope you both have been enjoying these first few weeks as husband and wife!
