When it comes to the photographer's lottery, I think it's safe to say I hit the jackpot with my last wedding of 2021! Christina & Justin's wedding was a DREAM! Not only are they a sweet, huge-hearted couple, but their guests were every bit as pleasant. They had many friends that served as their vendors, which made the day even more personally special to them.
Everywhere you looked, there were gorgeous details to be found! Brass candelabras, romantic lighting, red roses- seriously nothing was left out. Their cake was perfectly simplistic and stunning! If you look close, you can see one of my favorite details of their day! Christina and Justin found the perfect little dog statue to decorate the side off their cake to represent their pup, Pesto "Poops" Pettis! :)
Justin was all smiles as he got ready to meet his bride at the end of the aisle! Christina was incredibly calm while her friend perfected her makeup and her bridesmaids prepared for then wedding alongside her!
At the end of their wedding ceremony, Justin and Christina "jumped the broom", which in the African American culture marks the beginnings of their new marriage! To celebrate Christina's hispanic heritage, the couple enjoyed a Latin meal with their guests! I love all the personalizations that filled their day!
As with any bride, Christina and I had our eye on the weather the entire week leading up to her wedding. The meteorologists kept playing games- one minute it would show gorgeous weather ahead, and the next minute it would show rain for the wedding day. Well, sometimes it's best to just let go and let God, and when we did this- God showed out and provided THE most beautiful fall day! We couldn't have asked for sunnier skies or a "glowier" sunset for formal portraits! Crisp temperatures during the day and chilly fall temps that night, which was perfect since Christina's dress had gorgeous lace sleeves!
Not only did I end the year with the union of a wonderful couple, but I also gained 2 new friends! Justin and Christina, I'm SO excited for you both! I'm so glad that your marriage is starting on such a firm foundation and I pray your love for each other grows deeper than you could ever imagine! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness! I have NO doubts this will be an everlasting love! :)
