Smaller, quaint weddings held at private residences are quickly stealing a special place in my heart! Meredith & Eric were married at the Chapmans' beautiful home in Hartsville, in front of close group of family and friends.
Every gorgeous detail of their wedding was so beautifully curated! I'm pretty sure that Meredith's ring would leave somebody blind if the light hit it just right! ;) It was absolutely stunning, just like her lace-adorned wedding dress!
Meredith's family requested a bridal photo in front of a gorgeous oil painting in their home. The painting is of Meredith when she was younger, in the lap of Eva Hart, who was a survivor of the Titanic. Eva left behind a broach that was passed down to Meredith, which she displayed on her bouquet in remembrance of her!
So many sweet moments and sentimental details!
After their ceremony, the newlyweds enjoyed refreshments and delicious hors d'oeuvres while visiting with their guests! The forecast had been calling for rain on their wedding day the whole week beforehand. When the day actually arrived, the weather turned out to be sunny and perfect- maybe a bit warmer than expected, but perfect for an outdoor, afternoon wedding! Some of their younger guests even braved the swimming pool!
Eric and Meredith's wedding cake was a sweet potato cake from Meredith's favorite Greenville bakery! She mentioned that she craves that cake pretty much weekly! While she was excited for it, I think she was particularly excited to surprise Eric with his groom's cake that resembled his very own Volkswagen Beetle! Eric was in shock and joked that the cake version might even be more reliable than his actual VW bug! :D
Eric and Meredith's last photo request for their wedding, was a family portrait, complete with all 3 of their fur babies! :) Eric teased that all the other pictures from their wedding didn't matter- just this one! ;) I'm so glad everyone cooperated long enough to snap this one! :)
Congratulations to Meredith & Eric on their marriage! I'm so excited to see what the future holds for you both! Thank you for allowing me to be such a huge part of your wedding day!
